Nicolas Guérin studied cinema at the Sorbonne and started his career as a photographer for the magazine POSITIF. In 2002, 50 portraits from his series devoted to film makers accompanied the magazine's fiftieth anniversary celebrations, first at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, and then around the world, from Madrid to Yokohama. "100 cineastes d'aujourd'hui", his first book, was published the same year. He joined the Corbis Agency in 2003, and he has since worked for prestigious international magazines, signing the covers of (Io donna, The Guardian, Time Magazine, Zurban, Telerama... In 2005, he travelled to Corea and discovered Corean cinema. This resulted in a series of portraits and a leading article for ELLE magazine. From then on, his work became more fashion orientated, in spite of his numerous collaborations for Rolling Stones and Studio Magazine. In 2007 he joined the commercials photographers section of Thierry Kauffmann. Today, Nicolas Guérin's work is very diverse, from fashion and commercials to the portraits of celebrities and he collaborates with Positif, Transfuge, Le Monde, Studio Cine Live, GQ, Esquire, Vogue, Elle, Io donna.
